The tensioner was bought new, then chromed, and the filter housing was used.

Chrome VR6 Alternator - $350

During the first 4 years of my cabrio being off the road I decided it was a good idea to chrome a bunch of parts. Then before I got the pleasure of even driving the car, someone offered me a bunch of money for the supercharger kit, then eventually I parted the rest of the 12v and sort of decided on a gt30 induced R32 swap.

Long story short, I have this and wont be using it anytime soon.

The alternator was professionally rebuilt by K & K Automotive (301.663.5258) along with my starter, which may soon be for sale. The rebuilt alternator literally has 5 miles on it and is in great shape obviously. The only problem I have with the chrome is that where the unit is bolted to the accessory bracket it has some small chips in it from being put in and removed.

I will ship this at the purchasers expense plus an additional 3% charge for paypal.

New bumpers for my project

I just got these back last weekend from a pal in PA. We worked out a sweet trade so I cant really say how much it would cost to replicate these, but Im friggin stoked.

They started as textured OEM euro golf bumpers.
On the front the marker lights were filled along with the lower air ducts in addition to the "credit card" indentation typically in the center of the plate recess. A north american lip was then molded in, which in my opinion is pretty ballsy.

The rear had the tow hook shaved along with the exhaust cutout, which means I've got to sort that sometime soon as well.

Its time for me to sell my personal car. I purchased this new at Fitzgerald AutoMall in Frederick, MD when I traded in my R32 for something more practical as commuting 90 miles round trip each day was economically feasible in something I was tempted to constantly cruise around in at 80 miles an hour, which in 6th gear returned a lackluster fuel economy of 22mpg.

When I stepped into this I knew that I would be sacrificing performance and all wheel drive but I gained a ton of space for myself and 4 adult passengers, lower auto insurance premiums and 23 additional mpg while crusing at 80mph on my commutes. Even while cruising at 80mph I still manage to get 520 miles on a tank before it runs dry.

Now that my wife and I have our first child we need something a little bigger and more wagonish to lug around the stroller, pack n play, diaper bags, misc toys etc.

I have had this car serviced by Eurotech Motorsports from day one for everything from oil changes to the mandatory timing belt service which I took a pre-emtive strike towards and had it done at 90k.

This car runs great and has never had any issues at all, and if it wasnt for the self imposed need for more space I would be keeping it. The car isnt perfect but also isnt far from it. All 4 wheels have curb rash and there are some paint chips in the hood from road debris, and the lip is scraped on the drivers side. (see photo) but thats where it stops. No dents, repainted panels, crazy scrathes, nothing.

Polo 1.4 3cylinder TDI swap for sale $3000

I sold this to a customer awhile back who never used it as planned. Its been in storage for the last 4 years, but was pulled while running.

The swap includes the engine harness, cluster, ecu and complete longblock.

I sent the ecu to Rocket Chip to have the immobilizer removed as well as adjust the fuel and timing for more performance. With the upgraded ecu you should expect to see a 20%+ gain in HP & torque.

This swap is available for immediate pickup in MD. I will deliver within 200 miles for an additional $100.00.

This is the only 3cylinder VW diesel in America that I am aware of and would be a perfect swap for any MK1 Rabbit, MK1 Caddy or MK1 Cabriolet.

When fitted to the Polo these cars averaged 62+ combined MPG.

Our longtime pal Matt has just introduced his newest product which allow you to use Mercedes or Audi wheels on your 4 lug watercooled VW. No longer will you have to swap to a 5x100 VW bolt pattern (up to $500), then get adapters(another $300).

Another advantage is that by using their skinniest adapters at 15mm you're not pushing your wheels the additional 5mm as a 5x100 setup requires you to do, prior to using an adapter.

Audi A4 B6 euro trunk - $250

This was stored for a while at Euro Auto Source in York, PA which is where it picked up the sweet latex paint overspray on it, so odds are that you have seen it before if you been in the shop.

The trunk lid originally had a factory installed spoiler so there are some holes in the top near the edge that would obviously accept another factory spoiler, or possibly some aftermarket ones as well.

The facotry paint might be something you're able to buff out, and its obviously very dusty. Upon pickup I will also throw in a euro hazard triangle.

I've got a sub 100k AAZ setup that needs an alt. for $1400 and a sub 100k A1Z that also needs and alt. for $1700 if anyone is interested. The A1Z has a harness, ecu & cluster. The AAZ has something of a harness but its not really needed since its a mechanical pump. Get a starter on it, provide fuel and it will spin till you shut off the fuel.

I've always had a soft spot for utility vehicles and this is remarkable.
Im glad to see an American company thinking outside of the box and bringing something to market that will have a million real world uses.

Chrysler found great success with the rebadged Mercedes transporter and Ford will certainly do the same.

aluminum vr6 valve covers

I had every intention of having these modded like I did for the T4 valve cover, but since there is little to no market for custom parts these have got to go. These will work on any 12valve vr6 engine. While they are dirty, its nothing a chromer cant fix. Speaking of chrome, shortly I'll upload all the chrome VR6 parts I have actually pulled from the project car.

I found this in my parts bin some time ago and wont be needing it. Its a rare (for North America) piece. Audi TT Bucket Seats

I've had these for a few years and need the space. The base of one of the seats was recovered, and needs to have the leather "warmed up" still so it will stretch properly. I have not done this as I've never sat in them since it was recovered. They are not perfect, but would be a great low budget option for a MK2, MK3 or MK4.

All of the airbags are in place, and these recline forward as they are from a coupe.

Right Hand Drive Pennsylvania Titled VW Polo

As part of my purchase of the inventory of eCode Parts I acquired this gem. Its a running and driving 1977 VW Polo. It is rumored to be 1 of 4 in the country. I know of one in Pennsylvania, 1 in Virginia and another somewhere in New England.

I've had this car parked for the last few years, but it still fires up the first time, every time. (it probably has something to do with the fact that there are only 59 thousand original miles on it)

One thing in particular that makes this car stand out is that it has the original early small metal bumpers which are quite rare. I also have a spare late style plastic bumper set along with the matching grill.

The exterior was resprayed about 4-5 years ago in its original Miami Blue, however the car sat to long in its primered state and has developed some paint bubbles.

The interior of this car is its worst quality as I believe the car sat in a glass front garage for many years, which would explain the lack of rust on the car but the overall condition of the bench and front buckets.

The dash and steering wheel are in great shape along with the door panels.
The only aftermarket modification to this car is the sliding ragtop, which I don't really understand myself. I'll most likely replace the sliding unit with a vinyl snap in place top.

I'm open for trades of all sort on this car, but cash works as well. Ideally if I include all the spare parts I have for this car I would like $6500.00, so a trade in that ballpark would work to.

I am located in Frederick, MD about 45 minutes North of Washington, DC and 45 minutes West of Baltimore.

Some of you might know me some might not, so my first posting will serve as my introduction to things. A little over 2 years ago I purchased a small business known as eCodeParts. This business was a pretty simple idea that at the time was filling a need within the VW community.

eCodeParts worked with various importers to bring in lightly used OEM european specific parts for late model VW & Audis. Somewhere along the way the economy turned sour, people stopped being interested in having OEM euro parts for their cars and the dollar was so weak compared to the Euro and British pound that it wasnt economically feasible to bring over any new inventory.

Within this blog I'll be listing parts I've got tucked away in my storage unit that I have available for purchase. Most of these parts are euro specific, some are readily available in the US as they were also used on NA cars. I also have a handful of custom parts available as well from various project cars.

In addition to posting parts available, I'll also occasionally post some things I find interesting within the general auto community.
